Mission Foods Iberia is part of the Mexican multinational Gruma, a world leader in the production of corn flour and flatbreads, more commonly known as tortillas. With more than 20,000 employees in 79 plants in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania and a worldwide presence, they are constantly striving to improve both their products and their facilities.

A good example of this is its plant in Borox, Toledo, where an extension has been carried out during 2020 and industrial telescopic watertight drains have been installed, manufactured by ATT INOX DRAIN exclusively in Spain for CAINOX®, with a special care and a rigorous hygienic design, according to the recommendations of the EHEDG (The European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group).

Excellent material, modern technology and good design combine to produce functional and hygienic equipment. An example of this is the elimination of manual welding in manufacturing and its replacement with automated processes to reduce irregularities and increase hygiene standards. The automation of the pickling and passivation process also reduces the harmful effects of machining and welding on the passivation layer.

The drains supplied are made entirely of AISI304 stainless steel, with a siphon and a basket for collecting solids to facilitate cleaning and prevent bad odours and the development of bacteria. The profiles are also filled with epoxy resin and the upper part and the body are made of folded sheet metal. They are compact and have rounded corners without welds, thus preventing the accumulation of contaminants in these critical points.
