In the financial district north of the Castellana in Madrid, its fifth tower, the Torre Caleido, is at an advanced stage of construction, rising to create a new skyline with its 180-metre height and 36 floors. After an investment of approximately 300 million euros, it is expected to be inaugurated in the third quarter of 2020. Inspired by the Seagram in New York and the John Hancock Center in Chicago, it will house the headquarters of the IE Business School, an advanced medicine centre managed by Quirón Salud and will also be equipped with a large shopping gallery (fashion, technology and sports) and restaurant areas framed by four glass greenhouses that will be a large gastronomic market.

For this colossal project, CAINOX® supplied more than 3,500 meters of STECKDRAIN pipe made of CHIBRO-ILTA INOX and almost 4,000 different fittings (elbows, branches, sleeves, reductions, etc.) for installation inside the tower.

STECKDRAIN pipe and fittings are manufactured in various grades of austenitic stainless steel such as AISI316L (UNI - EN 10088 X 2 Cr Ni Mo 17-12-2) and AISI304 (UNI - EN 10088 X 5 Cr Ni 18-10), available in various diameters and lengths, connected by EPDM O-rings, with many accessories, non-combustible, reduces the noise of water flow and its joints, according to DIN 19530-2, make it totally watertight. Its reliability is accredited by numerous quality certificates issued by international certifying entities and by being in conformity with the EN1124 standard. For all these reasons, STECKDRAIN is particularly suitable for the evacuation of wastewater by gravity and vacuum in projects of these characteristics, guaranteeing its resistance to exposure to corrosive agents.
